📢Cardiff's 'Sack Sort' Recycling Scheme Enters Final Rollout Phase! 📢

Starting January 20th, 36,400 more homes will join the scheme.

Residents in Canton will receive:

✅Blue Caddy: For glass bottles and jars
✅ Red Sack: For metals, tins, aerosols, foil, plastic bottles, pots, tubs, and tetra packs
✅ Blue Sack: For paper and cardboard

From this date, Canton residents who do not live in purpose-built flats and have not yet joined the scheme will start receiving their new recycling containers, with the first collections scheduled to begin on March 4th.

Along with the new containers, residents will also receive a cover letter, a detailed booklet, and a 'quick guide' information sheet to help them understand the scheme and know where to put their recycling.

No appointment is necessary.

At the surgery, Jasmin will be available to see residents and help with local issues such as:

✅ housing issues;
✅ social services;
✅ school education and adult learning;
✅ transport, roads and payments;
✅ parks, playgrounds and open spaces;
✅ leisure centres and activities for all ages;
✅ supporting vulnerable people;

✅ planning and building regulation.

Ed kicked off the day by casually walking into an assembly, hopping on stage, and holding a live Q&A with students.

🎶 Stop 2: Eastmoors Youth Centre, Splott
Next up, he jammed with the talented Ministry of Life Education music students in an unforgettable impromptu session.

🎶 Stop 3: Grassroots, Cardiff City Centre
Finally, Ed visited Sound Progression, a youth music charity run in partnership with Cardiff Youth Service, inspiring the next generation of musicians and creators.
